La Det Grøne Treet i Volda leve!

I do not want this petition to feel like an attack against Karl-Erik, who as the owner is of course absolutely within his right to do with his land and property as he sees fit. However, there are both hugely important social and historical reasons why Det Grøne Treet and the building which houses it should remain untouched.
This is a case of civic responsibility, in which perhaps the kommune needs to step up to protect not only one of the few remaining recreational venues left in Volda, but also one of the few remaining original wooden houses left on the waterfront.

Dersom det er leiligheiter som står på agendaen verkar det idiotisk. Det er jo allereide problemer med å selge vekk leilighetene på hamna, då fåtall vil kjøpe overprisa leiligheiter rett ved bilveien. Det grøne treet er eit av dei få stadane ungdom/studenter og lokalbefolkninga kan samlast, nyte utsikt over fjord og ha som samlingsstad store delar av året. Det vil føre til endå mindre liv og røyre i et ellers ganske dødt volda sentrum.
